"If I needed three people to help me shape my message and content, I would put Bob Levy in a room and take my time searching for the other two. He has the unique ability to find those critical intersections between the mission of the institution and those who are prospective supporters and articulates with a passion and originality by creating images that are honest and compelling. His work creates real results for those on the development and the program side and that is a rare find in our field."

Several years ago, I made a choice.

Rather than launch a company of many, I decided to remain a company of one. I didn't want to lose direct involvement with causes I cared about. Nor did I want to distance myself from the people who drove the work of social change. I didn't want to be the managing partner who sold you "the business" and was rarely seen again. And I wanted to stay engaged in copywriting because I had learned over time that devising a grand strategy for reaching donors meant little unless you could translate that vision into a stream of communications that touched them.

How does this work for you? It means that you will always get the director of the firm when you call. You will always be assured that any assignment engages the firm's chief copywriter. And you will always know that whatever creative strategy we develop together will be thoughtfully woven into the communications the donor reads.

When necessary I work with other people in marketing who augment my expertise: a talented analyst, a data-base specialist, a creative designer or a capable production person. But you are not stuck, nor must you pay, for the overhead and headaches that are often associated with a large firm that promises more than it delivers. There is a reason why I retained the commitment of Amnesty International for 11 years and the New Israel Fund for 13. They could count on me. I came through for them. And that's the kind of partnership we can build together.
